This short story gives us a glimpse into Elizabeth Kincaid life as she returns home from serving a 6 month tour with the National Guard. As she is on the long flight home with her unit and several platoons of Army specialists she strikes up a conversation with a young soldier and she reminisces about her past before, during and after meeting her husband who she met in while in high school and fell in love him. If your a fan of the series the first book Perfect featured Dylan Kincaid who was watching Bob and Elizabeth's 2 children while they were both deployed.
